Cops for Cancer Tournament Event

Steven Clarke is a member of the Delta Police Dept. and one of the official riders for the Canadian Cancer Society’s 2024 Cops for Cancer Program and the 25th Anniversary of Tour de Valley.

As a part of the Canadian Cancer Society, (charity registration number 118829803RR0001) Cops for Cancer raises funds for lifesaving pediatric cancer research and programs and services for children and families facing cancer. Tour de Valley is an eight-day bike tour across the Fraser Valley. This year from September 13th to September 20th, our Tour Team of law enforcement and emergency services personnel will ride over 800 km including Hope to Boston Bar. They visit many local schools and businesses to raise money and awareness and lend support to services such as the empowering Camp Goodtimes, a program for kids and their families living with cancer. Over 600 B.C. Children and Family members will attend camp this year alone. Our goal this year is to raise over $320,000 to help make that happen.

The success of our Tour relies greatly on our riders and support from their local communities. As a rider, Steven is committed to raising $6,000, and being able to physically complete eight days of riding with the Tour de Valley team. He will spend the next few months training and fundraising in his community to reach his goal. We hope that you will consider supporting Steven in his efforts this special Silver Edition Tour Year.
